I'd like to share my learnings from 2007 with you in hopes that it may benefit you, and I look forward to learning from you in return when you find the time to write back:

1. The best book I read all year was Timothy Ferriss' "Four Hour Work Week". I highly recommend it if you have not read it already. The book taught me to focus on passive income generation. This freed up my time to pursue further growth of passive income and enjoy time with loved ones, take care of my health, and appreciate life. The book also recommended keeping a Virtual Assistance company somewhere in India or another developing country that can do most of your personal and business tasks that you don't like doing. I was fortunate enough to find an excellent company, very reliable and cheap, to do my online work related to marketing, online research, etc. that saves me hours of boredom and headaches. Keeping offshore virtual assistance has been one of the best decisions I made all year, and better yet, getting a great team for it added to the benefits. Let me know if you need to connect with my recommended virtual assistance team. I'll be happy to make that introduction.

2. The best movie I saw all year was "The Secret" on DVD... very inspiring. I realized that everything is possible with focus, passionate thought and action. Affirm positivity and your goals every day while offering gratitude to God for all the wonderful things you already have.

3. Just one hour of walking every day helps your health tremendously. I was able to bring my HDL cholesterol, blood pressure and weight under control and to very healthy levels within a month of starting a daily walking routine. Do it on a tread mill in front of a TV or go outside if the weather is nice. Again, this was possible because of freeing up my time. See learning #1 above.

4. Law suits can be a useless waste of time and money, depending on the situation. I had a former employee breach his contract with BrainReactions and even though our paperwork was strong to prove that he had offended, hiring good lawyers and getting the lengthy process done of bringing the offender to justice cost me several lost days of productivity and several thousand dollars in legal fees. In hindsight, I could have moved on and held onto my thousands of dollars and invested them back into the business to grow it further.

5. A formerly workaholic CEO (me) CAN, in fact, totally change his strategy, spend less time working, increase revenues and income, and catch up on family life.

Hope this helps. Look forward to reading any learnings you can share!

What an excellent idea! I can waste a whole day obsessing about what I'm not doing; paying someone to do it is less headaches, worry, and procrastination.
