Whenever times are exceedingly tough and the thought crosses my mind that I might have to go back and work for someone else I like to think of some things that give me a little extra motivation - like my boss at my last job, who talked down to everyone, or the backbreaking labor of my warehouse job, cleaning toilets... What motivates you guys to keep going when the going gets tough?

That's a really good question JDavis. For me it's the total lack of creativity, being around people who are only doing their jobs for money, having no satisfaction at the end of the day, being around grumpy people, office politics, the keep up with the Jones' mentality... Oh, I can go on all day but you get the point.
Being my own boss is hard but it's a breeze when I think back at what I went through at the hands of others.

I just couldn't stand not being in control of things, probably not my most endearing quality, but that alone motivates me to keep on being the decision maker

I think about my short stint waitressing, the absolute worst job I ever had. Terrible hours, rude and harrassing customers, catty coworkers, and I made barely enough to survive.
